Discover Our 2023 Impact: A Year of Partnership, Leadership, and Progress
At UHP, 2023 was a remarkable year fueled by partnership, community-driven leadership, and an unwavering commitment to health access for all. Our efforts in food access, safe biking and pedestrian facilities, quality parks initiatives , and capacity-building events marked significant strides towards our mission. Amidst a challenging climate for many communities, we doubled down on our support and collaborations, leading to the development of a community-focused “Accelerator Plan” with the City of Miami and securing a transformative award from the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
Our NIH project, also known as In CommUNITY, is set to leverage both community and academic expertise to drive meaningful change in health outcomes across Miami-Dade County. These milestones were achieved thanks to the trust, partnership, and unwavering support of our community members, funders and collaborators.
