The I Did It COVID-19 vaccine campaign was created and is led by the Health Foundation of South Florida in partnership with Broward County and Miami-Dade County, and with the involvement of the counties’ respective health departments.

The campaign’s mission is to increase vaccination rates in the most vulnerable communities in Miami-Dade and Broward counties by answering COVID- 19 vaccine questionsproviding important COVID-19 vaccine facts and information, and building confidence in the COVID-19 vaccine. It is particularly focused on Black and Latino low-income individuals and families across our region—in communities that have been disproportionately affected by the pandemic, where hesitancy runs high, as these communities remain vulnerable to its ongoing impacts.

UHP has worked in Overtown for the past 2+ years engaging residents, partners, and community leaders. This project leverages those relationships to provide navigation, education, and linkage around COVID-19 safety, testing, and vaccination. Through this campaign, UHP is building the capacity of the Community Liaisons and community leaders in Overtown around COVID-19-related safety, testing, vaccines, and support resources. Outreach is being conducted by trusted messengers/leaders in the Overtown community.
