The aim of Transportation Families was to identify multimodal transportation options for family planning and preconception care using a life-course approach and funded by Every Woman Southeast (EWSE). UHP established a multi-agency steering committee, researched barriers, needs, challenges and assets of transportation access and the impact or potential impact on utilization of family planning services, and constructed a community needs assessment. The results of the CNA were translated and disseminated through an outreach marketing campaign to raise awareness among community stakeholders in family planning clinics, transportation, urban planning and other traditional and non-traditional health sectors about the needs of this population.
